Which EcoFlow Power Kit do I need?

Every EcoFlow Power Kit is a Power Hub (the inverter) plus 48V LFP batteries that plug together. Pick the inverter for the appliances you want to run at the same time. Pick the battery for how long you want to stay off-grid between charges.

Step 1: Choose your inverter

The inverter decides what you can run at once. Add up the wattage of everything you’d switch on together and pick the inverter that covers it.

Inverter Continuous output Best for
2600W 2600W Everyday caravan use: fridge, lights, TV, laptops, a coffee machine or microwave one at a time
3600W 3600W Running bigger loads together, such as a kettle while the induction cooktop is on, or a rooftop air conditioner plus everyday loads
5kVA 4000W continuous, 8000W surge Two 13,500 BTU rooftop air conditioners at once, and high-draw appliances without a soft starter

Typical appliance draw, for guidance only (check the label on yours):

Appliance Typical draw
Compressor fridge 60–150W while running
LED lights, phone and laptop charging Under 200W combined
TV 50–150W
Microwave 1,000–1,500W
Coffee machine or kettle 1,500–2,400W
Induction cooktop (one zone) 1,200–2,000W
Rooftop air conditioner 1,000–1,500W running, higher at start-up

Step 2: Choose your battery size

Battery size decides how long you can go between charges. More storage means more nights off-grid, or air conditioning for longer.

The 5kVA inverter is also available as a 2kWh kit, or as the hub on its own to pair with your choice of batteries.

A quick way to size it

  1. List what you’ll run each day and roughly how many hours.
  2. Multiply watts by hours for each item and add them up. That’s your daily use in watt-hours (1,000Wh = 1kWh).
  3. Multiply by the number of days you want between charges.
  4. Subtract what your solar will put back each day, then add a margin of about 20%.

Example: a fridge, lights, devices and a TV might use around 1.5–2kWh a day. A 4kWh kit covers about two days with no charging. Add air conditioning and daily use climbs quickly, which is where 6kWh to 15kWh kits come in.

Keeping it charged

The 2600W and 3600W kits charge four ways: up to 4800W of solar, a 1000W alternator charger while you drive, 3000W from mains power, and 1800W from an EcoFlow Smart Generator.
